We are pleased to present the Cuyahoga Valley National Park Blanket. The CVNP Blanket commemorates 50 years of celebration of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park as it was first established as a National Recreation Area on December 27, 1974, and redesignated as a National Park in 2000.
This custom blanket was designed by local artisans after an inspiring walk through our park and showcases the rugged spirit and natural beauty of the Cuyahoga River Valley throughout the changing seasons. Representing the colors of the pavestone Ohio skies which stretch over the Cuyahoga Valley, accented by bands of moss and hemlock greens of the ancient forests; the burgundy red of the spicebush; the glorious gold of the Autumn leaves; and the Skyfall blue tribute to the “Crooked River” that carved the valley long ago.
Woven in Pendleton's American Mills, the CVNP blanket is a legacy item offering lasting warmth for generations to come. This blanket is offered for sale exclusively at The Jenks 1929 Mercantile and the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park store. Includes a special commemorative label.
